Modelado de las decisiones de política monetaria en un marco discreto: el caso de México, 2004-2012

Abstract
Se pretende explicar cómo la política monetaria del Banco de México (Banxico) reacciona antela información proveniente tanto de variables macroeconómicas relevantes como de rendimientosde los Certificados de la Tesorería (Cetes) y variables de financiamiento por la bancacomercial, en pro de la estabilidad de precios. Para ello, se desarrolla un modelo probit multinomialordenado, el cual calcula las probabilidades de tres posibles movimientos en la tasa deinterés objetivo (que la tasa de interés se incremente 25 puntos base [pb] o más, se mantenga oque disminuya 25 pb o más); los saltos se calculan mediante rezagos de la variable dependiente.Por último, se realiza una simulación de las variables dependientes por medio de gráficas deprobabilidad para México en 2004-2012.
