Abstract

CONSIDERING THE STUDENT POPULATION AS A SOURCE OF COUNTRIES SOCIAL CAPITAL, A NEW MODEL OF INTEGRAL HEALTH ATTENTION FOR UNIVERSITIES WAS DESIGNED ON THE BASIS OF A SITUATIONAL DIAGNOSIS OF VULNERABLITY THROUGH THE IDENTIFICATION OF RISK AND PROTECTIVE FACTORS. THE MODEL WAS INTEGRATED WITH TWO FUNDAMENTAL AXES: STRATEGIC PLANNING AND ACCOUNT RENDERING, AND WITH FOR SUSTANTIVE AREAS: HEALTH EDUCATION, PREVENTION, ATTENTION TO DAMAGE, AND ATTENTION TO ENVIROMENT. IT WAS OPERATED WITH A HOLISTIC PRIGRAM AND FIVE STRATEGIC LINES OF ACTION: INTEGRATED MEDICAL ATTENTION TO ENVIROMENT. IT WAS OPERATEDM WITH A HOLISTIC PROGRAM AND FIVE ESTRATEGIC LINES OF ACTION: INTEGRATED MEDICAL ATTENTION, EFFECTIVE COLLECTIVE INTERVENTION, HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNICATION AND RESEARCH, INTERNAL MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT. RESULTS: IN THRRE YEARS THE INSTITUTIONAL WORK PLAN WAS ORIENTED, THE STRUCTURE MODIFED, AND AN OFFER OF SERVICES WAS GENERATED AIMED AT PROMOTING THE STUDENTS HEALTH SELF CARE. TWELVE MARKERS OF HIGH VULNERABILITY WERE IDENTIFIED IN 25% OF STUDENTS, WHICH MEANS THAT THE GREAT MAJORITY DEPEND ON PROTECTIVE FACTORS WHICH MUST BE STRENGTHENED.
