La Significación del Símbolo: Una Aproximación Entorno a Piaget
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this study we analyze the meaning of symbols based on the psychological approach of Piaget. In addition, we would like to stimulate more research in this area. A symbol has sense when it has a nexus with a specific meaning. For Piaget knowledge is an interaction between the subject and the environment. Being external, symbols are part of the context and they allow to be incorporated in the construction of knowledge. Being part of that process, symbols are incorporated into the cognitive structures while simultaneously modifying them and actively building meaning. Thus, the processes of assimilation and accommodation of symbols into the cognitive structure lead to signification.
