Abstract

Salvador Munichin's Structural Pattern Model in psychological therapy has obtained, since the start of its application, excellent results. This model studies given interactions among the members of a family, observing that when interactions are not working, they influence in a very important manner in generating difficulties in the system, causing "symptoms" or psychological problems in one or several members of the family system. With the present study, a ase of adaptation disorder in an adolescent was handled and analyzed. The patient was in a family environment full of confusion, poor communication and diffuses limits among other aspects. I intended, through the application of therapeutic techniques (Structural Family Feedback, focusing and establishing clear and flexible limits), to modify dysfunctional interactions and to imp`lement functional relations based on the Structural Pattern Model, achieving in an effective way to organize the family system in a more functional manner; where the parents improved their communication, and in a collective mode, established clear and flexible limits, allowing themselves a better treatment of their children, what resulted in improving the communication between them and their parents.
