Coalition governments and its impact on Latin American presidential systems: the case of the Southern Cone

Abstract
This work proposes to update the coalition theories, by studying closely the Latin American presidentialism. It concentrates the analysis on the Southern Cone and demostrates that thecoalitions have huge repercussions on the governance process and fulfilled profound realignments on party systems.
