A relevant case is that of the Yucatan Peninsula, which concentrates great sociocultural and geographic diversity, in addition to urban centers with high demographic growth and points of national and international tourist attraction that have favored the local economy but also the emergence of integration conflicts, in addition to an important social and environmental impact.
