Live in times of multiculturalism:Power and Housing Policies in Santiago El Pinar, Chiapas (1999-2020)

Abstract

The following research note is part of the progress of the methodological section of the doctoral thesis entitled “Housing policies in Santiago el Pinar, Chiapas (1999-2020). A processual study of the implementation of policies” its purpose is to communicate some reflections and concerns built on the questioning Why in the current context of the munici- pality of Santiago el Pinar housing as an artifact of public policy has been legitimized as part of the processes of political-local management? It is intended to show the series of built data, investigative decisions and methodological procedures that allowed to study the field of political decisions built by various actors from the implementation of the (sub) policy fund called the Municipal Social Infrastructure Fund (Fism-dF). The note is divided into four parts. Initially, some data were provided that allowed the research object to be built, subsequently, as part of the empirical problem, a socio-scientific framework for the implementation of infrastructure policies in the municipality of Santiago is presented; and in the latter part he realizes the theorical-methodological procedures constituted in the research. Finally, some reflections are offered.
