Geopolitics and morphology of death in the capital city Chilpancingo de los Bravo, 2012-2018

Abstract

When analyzing the morphology of death in the urban area of Chilpancingo de Los Bravos, we can affirm that death is part of a process full of meanings and signifiers that is part of the structure of a language used by different criminal groups operating in the territory, those who use lifeless bodies as a resource to build borders within a territory, control it economically, spatially, socially and politically. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was used, with a design based on a case study that describes and analyzes the homicidal death registered in between 2012-2018, using the main newspaper of the region.
