Abstract

This article takes as its starting point a production of “The Oresteia” to reflecton the drama and contemporary society, presenting a brief descriptionof the elements of the production. The analysis focuses on the image ofAthena that the production presents and which is indicative of different processesof transformation of the symbolic to the rational thing, the matriarchalto patriarchal, Greek tragedy to contemporary theater and from there toTV And at the same time it offers different possibilities for reflection on contemporarysociety, television, justice and divinity.
