Physical activity in university students

Abstract
The benefits of physical activity and exercise on people's health are evident, which is supported by scientific evidence in different medical conditions, including cardiovascular disease and premature mortality. Physical activity has benefits in a multifactorial way, the positive effects are visualized from the immune, metabolic and hormonal systems. The benefits of physical activity and individualized exercise prescription always considerably outweigh the potential risks to which they are exposed by its practice. In this review, it was found that young university students considerably reduce the time they dedicate to physical activity, which can generate long-term health problems, together with factors such as social behavior and unhealthy lifestyle preferences.
