Fear, obesity and pandemic: a thematic review

Abstract
The consequences of COVID-19 disease in the world population are unprecedented. Emotionally, the fear of contagion has marked differences in its confrontation. The present work aims to review the scientific literature on the emotion of fear and its possible relationship with the physical condition of overweight and obesity in individuals, as well as the associated risk factors during the pandemic. The methodological approaches highlight qualitative and quantitative approaches used in clinical psychology and health. Therefore, a review of different studies on the relationship between the emotion of fear and obesity during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out, in which observations can be made on the influence of this emotion as a barrier to the adoption of healthy behaviors.
