Public health coping strategies on overweight and obesity

Abstract

This article board, from the perspective of the social learning model on social coping, where the strategies proposed by the health sector for the treatment of overweight and obesity, take into account the main objectives revolve around the modification of the environment in the that the problem is presented and that of regulating the emotional response that is presented as a possible consequence (Lazarus, 1986). Thus, a review of the disposition of natural foods and those considered as processed or industrialized is also carried out, bearing in mind that this is a factor that becomes important in Mexico, since the easy access and costs of these foods have not promoted the feeding of quality, healthy, safe and sustainable (Troy et al, 2011), which generates obesogenic environments and, as in the attempt to set limits and promote healthy habits in the choice of food, another of the strategies adopted by the health sector is labeling of industrialized products, with the aim of being an element that impacts the consumer to choose the most healthy option.
