Abstract
THE PRESENT ARTICLE IT IS FOCUSED IN TWO RELEVANT ASPECTS IN THE GEO STATIONARY SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS. THE FIRST IS THE PARABOLIC ANTENNA PATTERN RADIATION AND THE LATER IS THE CROSS-POLARIZATION ISOLATION. BOTH PARAMETERS HAVE A CLOSE RELATION SHIP BETWEEN THEM AND THEY REPRESENT AN IMPORTANT ASPECT IN THE GROUND SEGMENT PERFORMANCE. THERE IS OTHER CHARACTERISTIC INVOLVED WITH ANTENNA PATTERN RADIATION AND ISOLATION TEST, THEY ARE SUBJECT TO FREQUENT REVISION AND IMPROVEMENTS IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE THE INTERFER ENCE PROBLEMS BETWEEN SATELLITE USERS AND THE GEOSTATIONARY ORBIT OPTIMIZATION WHICH MEANS TO GET MORE ORBITAL POSITIONS BY REDUCING THE ANGULAR DISTANCE BETWEEN SATELLITES.
