Main Article Content
Abstract
The author highlights the significance of comic books as a form of mass media and, consequently, a powerful vehicle for conveying ideas. In Historiagenda, he has published texts about two major creators: Quino and Rius, as well as an article about comics as a supportive tool for teaching. This text examines the longest-running comic book in Mexican history, La Familia Burrón, by Gabriel Vargas, exploring the context in which it is developed, the social, economic and political problems it addresses, and some of its most notable characteristics, such as its humor and social criticism.
