Gazette and environment 1999

Abstract

The objective of the article is to talk about a period of instability that UNAM had, the strike of 1999, in that perspective to show how it affected the College and the CCH Gazette. In April of that year, the last issue of the Gazette was published before the work stoppage, the movement forced a change in academic life and publication. In my text I show the importance of the mass media, particularly the printed media, because, at that time, the digital and technological tools of today were not available, this implied carrying out laborious and often manual work. In my work I refer to facts that have been recorded in different bibliographic sources, as well as to personal experiences.
