Abstract
This paper is an approach to the history of the formation of the Mezquital Valley as a region since the 1930s, considering the three principal projects on the Mezquital story: in-digenism, agrarism and migration. The author reviews the major structural transformations the Valley has experienced giving relative homogeneity to the region.
