The Warisata Ayllu-School, Bolivia and its Relations with Mexico

Abstract

 Th e Constitution and development of the school of Warisata during the 1930s over the American’s 20th century, as a project for the indigenous communities based on the traditions and ancestral customs, became into a innovative work contrary to the pedagogical projects established in Latin America. It produced the sympathy of several Latin America`s countries, specifi cally in Mexico, which also had its own educational experience for native peoples. We will point out that both nations held various projects and partnerships, despite their educational projects were diff erent.

Arturo Vilchis Cedillo, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Programa de Posgrado de Estudios Latinoamericanos Doctorante

Doctorante en el Programa de Posgrado de Estudios Latinoamericanos de la UNAM; ha publicado diversos escritos referentes al pensamiento del escritor peruano Gamaliel Churata. Realiza una tesis doctoral sobre la Escuela Racionalista de Yucatán, México (1915-1924) y la Escuela de Warisata (1931-1940).
