How modern are we? Love and pair relationships in contemporary Mexico

Abstract

The text explores the impact of modernity on affective relationships. Based on an analysis of nine types of couples, classified by age and educational background, we discuss to what extent those couples conform to or diverge from the discourse of modernity.
