Abstract
Galileo’s improvement of the telescope marks the dawn of the new science. The publication of Siderus Nuncios or Messenger of the Stars led to a radical renewal of astronomy, followed by a complex process of acceptance and validation which hastened the fall of the Aristotelian-Ptolemaic world view, imposing heliocentric theory over the entrenched geocentric theory
