Abstract
The Argentinean historian Hernán H. Taboada refers to the words of Angel Rama in reviewing the directions of Latin American studies on this continent. starting from the tight link between the academic and the intellectual. A relationship not given in other fields has, in our case, been impelled by the migratory condition of many of our figures. Newspapers, journals, magazines, universities, congresses and academic boards continue to be the spaces in which today's Latin American specialists express their ideas, which are, where do they come from and where are they going?
