Abstract

"In 1960, Leopoldo Zea proposed that the Mexican Chancellery should contain an area specialized in cultural promotion", reminds us the Mexican writer and diplomat Alejandro Estivill in this work, in which he reflects on the evolution of the country's cultural-policy that started with a strong sense of propriety over the different expressions and a nationalist pride concerning its historical heritage. This policy benefited from the strong cultural network that Mexico shared with Latin-America.
