Abstract

This paper is an account of ideas of complexity and complex systems studies in last decades, regarding an environment of academic and communicative competitions. It presents information on 1. Complex systems and complexity studies. 2. Diffusion of ideas on complexity, institutions and research groups. 3. Social anthropology and philosophical approaches based on complexity. 4. Complexity and anthropology in Mexico and Latin America.
