Seriación de cerámica teotihuacana

Abstract

A series of stratigraphic excavations have been carried out at the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, Mexico, for the purpose of revising and refining the Teotihuacan ceramic chronology. Material from the excavations is used as data for this study. Meighan's three-pole graph method of seriation has proved valuable (I) for checking the regularitv of the ceramic sequences obtained ftom the stratigraphy, (2) for relating one excavation unit to another, and (3) for placing the excavation units in a relative time sequence,
