Morphological Explorations and Spatial Models. Architectural Assimilation and Implications for Educational Work
Main Article Content
Abstract
A pedagogical mode of work is presented hereunder based on the modeling of irregular forms, associated to processes of scalar vectoral fragmenta- tion, but assimilated from architectural criteria. This allows, within the para- digm of pure forms typical of modern architecture, to work in a continuous way with dissimilar morphological structures that range from open and / or closed vector lines, polyhedral modules, assemblies, gradients, textures, and landscape morphological frames, along with the various changes in scale and magnitude between possible forms and combinations. As a result of a systematization of teaching experiences in recent years, the basis of a working model with students of the architecture major from a morphologi- cal- procedural approach is thus presented; a basis which includes criteria and variables organized according to levels and types of complexity of the modeling process.
