Abstract
This interview collects the theoretical, critical and historiographical thinking of Ramón Gutiérrez, a key figure to understand and value Latin American architecture of the last decades. The text lays out his opinions on the contemporary problems which besiege Mexican and Argentinean architecture, as well as the theoretical and legal concepts by which Argentina tackles the assessment, rehabilitation and conservation of its built heritage. Finally, the Argentinean historian does a sharp analysis of the problems common to Latin American magazines, their strengths and weaknesses, for which he draws recommendations that might help overcome the challenges they currently face.
