Abstract

The paper reviews the history of financial capital in our country through the history of financial groups. This economic phenomenon took place during the import substitution industrialization model, this being the economic context. The common thread of the analysis deals with the following question: How were the close financial ties of business groups with financial capital achieved, to integrate banks or brokerage houses into the business group, in such a way that it would lead to financial groups? For this purpose, the historical process in the formation of Mexican business and financial groups is analyzed; as well as the incidence of fiscal and financial policy in their favor. The final part is dedicated to the conclusions of the work.
