Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper studies the employment impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. It is an exploration of employment and unemployment trends in that country's economy since the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis uses official data published by government sources. The Indian economy has slowed in the past five years and the pandemic exacerbates job losses. A gradual recovery in economic activity reveals the fragility of growth without generating employment.
