Since the implementation of the neoliberal macroeconomic policies, and when the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) came into effect, the Mexican economy has entered a deindustrialization phase which deepened due to various factors such as: the termination of productive chains, the dismantling of agricultural activity, the adoption of a manufacturing economic model, the transformation of the financial system and a profound capitalization of the economy. As a result of the above, it has reflected in a long period of economic stagnation and the deterioration of life conditions of the population in Mexico.
