The uncertain recovery of the world economy
Main Article Content
Abstract
The entire world is currently aware of an economic context of heightened vulnerability. Both at the global and the national level, endemic instability continues to persist. The deepening and acceleration of the crisis, from the end of 2009 through mid-2010, has resulted from (among other aspects) policies followed by different governments around the world in response to the crisis. In 2010, the orientation of public policies towards restrictive public spending, in addition to the lack of new rules and regulations over the financial system, are contributing to the lengthening of the crisis, and threaten to deepen it even further.
