On R.J. Sternberg's concept of intelligence
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this paper I reconstruct and submit to criticism various aspects of R.J. Sternberg's doctrines about human intelligence. I analyze the crucial notion of component as well as the theory of "intellectual styles". I also discuss (and object to) some of the assumptions of the theories which are never made explicit and, also, the "universalist", a priori and a historical outlook concerning human intelligence it gives rise to.
