Abstract
En una extensa lista dominada por hombres, Claudia Goldin resultó laureada con el Premio Nobel de Economía de 2023. Goldin es la tercera mujer que recibe este prestigioso premio, la primera fue Elinor Ostrom en 2009, reconocida por su análisis de los bienes comunes, y la segunda fue Esther Duflo en 2019, cuyos aportes se centraron en el estudio de la pobreza. Esta reciente distinción nos permite evidenciar, entender y visibilizar: 1) la contribución académica de las mujeres economistas; Goldin representa a las mujeres investigadoras y académicas que han sido poco reconocidas en el campo de la historia económica; 2) la importancia de la historia y la estadística descriptiva para la generación de conocimiento y el entendimiento de las dinámicas y políticas económicas frente a metodologías cuantitativas dominantes en la teoría económica, y 3) la situación de las mujeres en el mercado laboral actual que permite comprender sus desigualdades e inequidades...
